Dear Marsha,
I just wanted to thank you for working with us and our Aussie, Jack. Your techniques are fantastic - he's like a different dog. He's calm and playful in turns - all at appropriate times. We appreciate your work.
Thanks again for giving us a well-mannered dog.

Dear Marsha
I meant to send this note of thanks for the dog training classes much earlier. Bo and I got a lot out of the classes; I definitely learned training techniques that I didn't know before, and as in all responsibilities, how to build a better personal relationship with my pet. Believe it or not, I found that there wasn't much difference between guiding my young primary students and Bo the puppy. I began to see the kids as puppies with wagging tails and panting tongues ready to play, fetch and have fun... all reward-based behavior. I had to chuckle many times at this comparison. Seeing
how he played with your dogs was a real eye-opener for me, as my other dog didn't do this, he was totally one on one. But Bo loves to engage and I'm more willing to let him off leash and play with the neighbors dog and watch them have great fun.

Dear Marsha,
I want you to know how much your basic odedience dog training class has helped me. I have so much more knowledge and information and confidence in which to enjoy dogs! I have always been fond of dogs. Also it meant so much to me for you to take the time to answer questions and help me with the "neighbor situation". When these basic skills become more cemented in the outdoor environment I am reconfiguring, I hope to do more advanced dog training. Thanks again for everything-- I will indeed miss your classes for now. You're great and so dedicated and caring.
Sincerely, Hope & Ranger & Family

Marsha,
I want to thank you for the private session and all the wonderful advice you gave us. We enjoyed meeting you, and appreciate your wealth of knowledge in dog handling. We are already seeing a big difference in Maggie using what you taught us! When our friend came over for dinner last night I was able to bring her in the house to greet him calmly without barrelling in like she normally does. She greeted him but didn't run into him, and she completely ignored the cat food! What an accomplishment! Maggie sat in the family room with us and watched a movie after dinner. She normally would have jumped on Marty's lap, but she didn't - she politely jumped on the couch next to him and laid her head on his lap instead. He commented that she was a lot calmer the whole evening than she normally is when he's there.

Hi Marsha,
I want to thank you again for inviting Carl and I into your class and giving us a scholarship.
I also wanted to let you know that today, Carl's one year anniversary in his forever home, he sat... all on his own this morning without me even asking him to! It was on my bed (he still won't lower his delicate patoot on a hard surface!), he was playing and racing around and then he just looked at me and sat! Then he handed me his paw. He couldn't have done any of that a year ago. He didn't even know how to take a treat from my hand a year ago, let alone play and sit.
He's come such a long way. Thanks so much for all you've done.

Marsha,
We appreciate how hard it is for a dog lover to go into high kill shelters. That takes a rare kind of courage and compassion. Thank you for doing a difficult job that is so important but that few people will do.

Marsha,
You're a fabulous trainer. As a clinical social worker, I am constantly reflecting on commonalities that we reinforce with humans and animals. I learn from you on many levels!!!

Hey Marsha!
We took your basic training class nearly 2 years ago and it was WONDERFUL!
We just adopted a new doggie and she needs some training! Her name is Sadie and she's a little over 5 months old and like Midnight she's got a coat of black. Sadie's a Lab and Shepherd mix...a really lovely sweet dog with GIANT ears and an undying need for love and play. Anyhoo, Sadie needs to learn the basics. She's a bit of a tugger on leash and gets excited by other dogs and cats on the road (and is terrified of skateboards). She's really smart though, came house trained, knows how to sit and is already getting the hang of DOWN and possibly HEEL. Ah, the power of treats. So what's the schedule for Devil Dog classes? We're hoping to get her in a class in September if possible. Hope you are well. Your class was so amazing for Midnight, it really changed our lives for the better! HOORAY!

Marsha,
I can't thank you enough for calling me back today and spending so much time with me on the phone. I really appreciate your insight, and encouragement, and resassurance. Ed, the kids, and I have now owned five dogs and a cat adopted from various situations, and all lived long, happy lives. We got Buddy, our Shepherd mix at the age of 8 months, so we thought we knew what we were in for with a younger dog. "Zip" has turned out to be the perfect name for him. I think he enjoyed your classes and so did Victoria; Zip certainly slept well on Saturday nights after training and running around with Boo and the other dog! He has calmed down quite a bit and isn't chewing on stuff regularly, so we see real progress and maturing. Thank you again for your time and your generousity. The dogs of the world (and humans) are so lucky to have you.

Hi Marsha-
I'm not sure if you remember me but last year my husband Sean and I took your class for our little minpin, Lebowski. We loved the class and it really helped shape our guy - we've recommended the class to all of our friends with pooches.
Thanks again!

Marsha,
We really want to thank you. Kelly is such a great dog - we're having a lot of fun with her. Somehow you just knew she would be a great match for us. If it weren't so great it would be a little spooky! Anyway, take care and we hope to see you soon.

Hi Marsha-
We tried the Easy Walk and noticed a drastic improvement in walking without pulling. Danielle and I are using it in combination with what you taught us and it's a night-and-day difference. This coming weekend I am going to see how he does while hiking with the harness on. Diego has actually started to sit at the street corner with out any direction.
Thank you again Marsha, you taught us a lot.

Hi Marsha!
Thanks so much for allowing Hunter the foster dog to take your class! He's already improved so much! My boyfriend and I learned so much from you when we took your class last year with our dog Maddy. She's reached "graduate" level and finally listens to us all the time, even at the dog park!
Take care, Elizabeth Jurado

Dear Marsha,
Thanks again for the great classes, and I am sorry I wasn't there for Buddy's graduation, but I heard all about it. We were curious about the other classes you mentioned, so let us know.
Thanks again for all your help!

Thanks Marsha,
Today's session was wonderful. I can already see the change, and so can the dogs. No nipping today, and I stocked up on long-chew toys this afternoon. Now they are play-biting with those, and not on each other! I look forward to the classes at your ranch. Even though Bella is better trained, I'm sure she would benefit from some formal training.
Anyhow, thanks again. I'll give you an update next weekend.

Hi Marsha!
Thank you for your notes. We practiced the enthusiastic recall and he seems to love that-- maybe it's all about high-energy and having fun... not just coming when parents call... held our breath picked-up Rocky, Corrin (groomer) said..."he did good - have you been working w/him?" Bob said, "are you sure you have the right dog... small, light-colored thing?" but, Yes indeedy, we did, and Corrin said he did great. Wow.
Thank You, Marsha! Nora Barsuk

Hi Marsha
We truly enjoyed your class - what a difference!
Ziggy was approached by several loud kids today and he mastered it perfectly. Also, his sit, lay down and stay works just great. Further, he was approached by a big dog on a leash at the vet and he was just fine... amazing ! Thank you!
Best wishes - Mimi

Marsha,
We had a great time with the class! Still working on lay down, but now we do a sit and stay before we toss the ball for fetch rather then have him lunge at my had to get the the ball out of my hand. Thanks so much to you and your staff!

Hi Marsha -
Just wanted to send you a quick note to let you know that Nelly continues to be the greatest dog ever. She's so happy, wonderful, well-behaved, and gets cuter every day (or maybe we've just become those people who are a little preoccupied with our dog). THANK YOU again for taking on her case - we can't imagine what we did without her!
All the best, Kelley and Eric
