I was rescued from the San Bernardino Shelter by a nice man who took me to a vet and got me healthy and spayed. Now I’m living in a foster home but I’d really like a home of my own. I’m about 80 lbs. of pure love! I need some training but I know I’ll pick it all up real fast. The vet thinks I’m about 4 years old and was probably bred a lot. I shouldn’t live with cats and probably not small dogs – but I’d love to live with a big brother or sister. Of course I’d also love to have you all to myself. Tyson is a 1-2 year-old male Blue Nose Pitbull. He is affectionate with people and okay with other dogs but would probably be best as an only dog. NOELLE
Noelle is a 40 lbs., 8 month old Boxer-Pit mix. Noelle's family didn't want her anymore. She was trying to get back into her yard but her family was trying to keep her out. Fortunately, her rescuer was watching this shameful scene. Now she is safe and sound in her new foster home. Noelle is very affectionate and playful. PACKER
Packer is a 1 year-old Red-Nosed Pitbull mix weighing about 50 lbs. This poor boy showed up in my neighborhood and made his home in an abandoned property. When I approached him he was very submissive, friendly, and hungry. Now he lives with me. He loves to play with my dogs and he has been great with my nephews and nieces. SWEENEY
Sweeney is a 2 to 3 year-old male brindle Pit mix. I saw him and his buddy Red lying on a grassy area by a busy street. They were very friendly when I approached them. Both of them came over for some affection and then they kept on walking down a nearby alley. For a month I would see them along this same busy street always together. Most of the time they would be lying next to each other. It was very heartbreaking for me to pass them and not be able to help them. Finally I decided to take them because it was obvious Sweeney needed medical help. But I had to hassle with a homeless guy who claimed they were his. Finally I threatened to call the police so he let me have them for $20. Now Sweeney is completely healed, neutered, vaccinated, dewormed, fecal test done, Frontlined, and microchipped. Hi! My name is Roxanna. I'm a one year old female German Shepherd mix. My foster daddy found me in an industrial area of south LA. He's found a lot of dogs in that area. He found me just in time. I was pregnant and the next day after he brought me home I had my pups. I was really happy to have my puppies in a safe warm place with lots of food and clean water. Now that my babies are weaned I'm ready to be adopted. I weigh 50 lbs and I'm about 2 feet tall. I get along with other dogs, but I don't warm up to men quickly. Fortunately, my foster dad was very patient and eventually I learned that I could trust him.
