The early socialization of a puppy goes a long way towards creating a well-adjusted adult dog. Early exposure to other puppies, new people, traveling to different places to experience new sights, smells and sounds are all important elements in a puppy's social growth and development. Puppy Kindergarten allows your puppy to have positive social encounters and gentle challenges in a safe, nurturing environment.

Using fun, reward-based training methods, your puppy will learn:

- Eye Contact/Attention
- Sit
- Down
- Come when called
- Go to their spot
- Leave it/Take it
- Acceptance of handling

Your puppy will spend a portion of each class enjoying supervised off-leash playtime with other puppies, encouraging the development of social skills that will last a lifetime. Being handled by a variety of people helps to prevent shyness and aggression. Working with your pup on the mini-agility course promotes teamwork, confidence and coordination.

Class discussion topics include: proper nutrition, safe handling, exercise program, appropriate toys and games, and good home management techniques. In addition, problem-solving of common puppy behaviors such as play-biting, whining when left alone, jumping-up, and house-soiling will be covered.
